Statement of Faith
We believe here at the House of Refuge Church, Inc. that you must be born again to be saved. The bible makes it clear that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Man is in need of a Savior because each person will experience death. And, after death then comes the judgment. We believe by faith if you share in the death of Jesus Christ by baptism in water and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues you will be saved. The baptism must be in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ because there is no other name given under heaven by which men are to be saved. And, all the power is in the name of Jesus. We believe being born again is being filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues because Jesus said the signs will follow those that believe.Mark 16:17 And, on the day of Pentecost the 120 where gathered together and they heard a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them the ability. It is like the circumcision in the flesh that was practiced by the children of Israel. An external sign that you are one of God's children.
